- For an added layer of protection, the GFCI regularly conducts an automatic internal test to confirm that it can respond to a ground fault
- Automatically tests the GFCI every time the reset button is pushed in, the GFCI will not reset if its circuit is not functioning properly
- Indicator light, wall plate and screws are included. UL-Listed
- Tamper-resistant shutter mechanism inside the receptacle blocks access to the contacts unless a 2-prong plug is inserted, helping ensure hairpins, keys, etc., will be locked out
- GFCIs should be tested monthly to ensure they are providing protection, press the test button, then reset button, if the indicator light does not go out and come back on or if the GFCI cannot be reset, it must be replaced
